NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR RFP #958 Select Design Engineering Services for NE 179th Street Improvements from Vicinity of NE 29th Avenue to Vicinity of NE 50th Avenue (PRJ003763/CRP352922) Fed Aid # STBGUL-4247(005) CLARK COUNTY solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, and Hydraulic Engineering Design and Environmental Permitting for federally funded transportation projects. CLARK COUNTY reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases associated with this project (Right-of-Way/Construction). Project Description The Engineering and Environmental work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of providing select engineering services to support the on-time and on-budget delivery of this county project, which involves in its entirety the design/engineering, real property acquisition, and environmental documentation and permitting necessary to prepare a biddable and constructable set of plans and specifications, followed by the bidding and construction of the project by the county and its contractor. The scope of this road project includes widening, flattening and other improvements necessary for a full re-construction of NE 179th Street between NE 29th Avenue and NE 50th Avenue to a 40-mph design standard. This project proposes to continue road improvements to the NE 179th Street Corridor by connecting to the east end of the roundabout currently being constructed at the intersection of NE 179th Street and NE 29th Avenue and building out a full principal arterial roadway section (Pr-4cb), with four travel lanes, center left-turn lane or median, and bike and pedestrian facilities on both sides of the road up to the vicinity of NE 50th Avenue. The project will include the crossing (fish passage structure and walls) of a tributary of Mill Creek, which includes an alternatives analysis of the crossing to determine structure type. Environmental analysis and reporting work will be included in the successful consultants provided services. Project design and environmental work shall be consistent with the NE/NW 179th Street Circulation and Access Management Plan, including its strategies for access spacing, multimodal connectivity, and corridor mobility. No FSBE goal has been assigned to this project, however there is a voluntary 10% SBE goal on this project.
