P25003: Carty Road Multi-Purpose Trail, Phase I Federal Aid Number: CRPUS-9130 (001) Request for Qualifications The City of Ridgefield is soliciting qualifications from consulting firms to provide professional services for a pedestrian crossing at Hillhurst and Carty Road that will connect to a multi-purpose trail on Carty Road in a future phase. This project includes design and advertisement support for the first phase; approximately 100 feet of a 10-foot multi-use trail along Carty Road and an enhanced crosswalk at the S Hillhurst Road/Carty Road intersection. The project is intended to improve bicycle and pedestrian mobility, ADA accessibility, and safety for all users, while laying the groundwork for future trail extensions eastward. Future phases (which will be the subject of separate grant applications or development projects) will extend the multi-use trail eastward for approximately one-half mile. As part of the design effort on this project, and to assist with determining the 100-foot section, a pre-design study will be conducted to develop the enhanced crosswalk concept as well as the trail concept that will inform future projects to extend the trail eastward along Carty Road. To ensure proper placement of the crossing, coordination with the conceptual design team for the Carty Road/Hillhurst roundabout will be required. The contract type for this consultant work is Negotiated Hourly Rate. There is no DBE goal set for this consultant agreement. A voluntary 10% FSBE goal is included in this consultant agreement. The City of Ridgefield reserves the right to supplement the consultant agreement into future phases (RW/CN). Incomplete or late inquiries may not be considered. Proposers will have the option of submitting their packets online via the Citys eProcurement Portal hosted by OpenGov Procurement, by hand delivery, or United States Postal Service.
