CITY OF LA CENTER, WASHINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NW 9th Avenue Subdivision Rezone Hearings The La Center Planning Commission and City Council will conduct (2) public hearings for the purpose of a Public Hearing for the NW 9th Avenue Subdivision Rezone, requesting the current zone of LDR-7.5 to be changed to MDR-16. The project is located at: 33901 NW Pacific Highway La Center, WA 98629 Parcels: 258902000 & 258921000 The hearings will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 beginning at 5:30 PM and Wednesday, February 11, 2026 beginning at 6:30 PM. The City has modified the hearing and public testimony procedures to meet the Hybrid Meeting requirements. The hearings will be conducted in-person at 210 E 4th Street La Center, WA 98629 and online via GoToMeeting (a video conferencing service). Participants do not need internet access and can connect by phone. The public is encouraged to provide written or oral testimony. Directions for participating are included under the Remote Hearing Attendance and Public Testimony section below. The purpose of the hearings: The applicant is requesting the rezone of the current LDR-7.5 designation to MDR-16 to allow for a higher density and to determine whether the rezone approval criteria are consistent with LCMC 18.120.050. Remote Hearing Attendance and Public Testimony: 1. Attending remotely and giving oral testimony. You can attend the hearings remotely and provide testimony by connecting to the hearings via phone or computer on Tuesday February 10, 2026 beginning at 5:30 PM and Wednesday, February 11, 2026 beginning at 6:30 PM. Please see information below about how to testify remotely using the GoToMeeting online platform. Staff will provide you with information on participating in the hearings. 2. Submitting written testimony. Testimony supplied via e-mail or in writing must be received by City Hall by 4:00 PM on February 10, 2026 (Planning Commission Meeting) and February 11, 2026 (City Council Meeting). a.
