PUBLIC NOTICE Skyview HS CTE Tenant Improvement at the following Vancouver Public School location: 1300 NW 139th St, Vancouver, WA 98685. Notice is hereby given the Board of Vancouver Public Schools, Clark County, Washington, will receive bids until 2:00 p.m. (PST), May 9, 2024, at the Jim Parsley Center located at 2901 Falk Road, Vancouver, Washington, for Skyview HS CTE Tenant Improvement. The bids will be opened and read aloud immediately after the closing time for their receipt, at which time all interested persons are entitled to attend the bid opening. Bids will be received as follows: General Contract consisting of interior renovations within the existing school. Separate open-plan science classrooms to create individual spaces and convert one space to a Food Services Lab. Work includes: selective demo; new partition walls and doors; new casework; modifications to ceiling and flooring; Install of new and modifications to existing electrical, lighting, plumbing and HVAC systems; Installation of new OFCI appliances; Contract documents will be available to view and/or download beginning on Tuesday April 16, 2024, at: Vancouver Public Schools - Planning, 2901 Falk Road, Vancouver, WA 98661; 360-313-1040 J2 Blueprint Supply Co., 8100 NE St. Johns Rd, Suite B-101, Vancouver, WA, 360-696-1861; https://plans.j2b.com/site/vansd Prospective bidders will be required to sign in as an account manager to have access to the project documents. Contact the J2 Plan Center regarding questions or to set up an account. Printed sets or sheets may be purchased directly from the printer. No bid will be considered unless in complete accord with the instructions to bidders, and submitted upon the official proposal form included in the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified bank check, or cashiers check executed in favor of the Owner for not less than 5 percent (%) of the basic bid amount, excluding applicable State of Washington taxes. Bid security shall be forfeited as damages should the bidder neglect or refuse to enter into a contract and provide a suitable bond for performance/payment for labor and materials. This project is considered a Public Works project. Attention of bidders is called to State of Washington statues, regulations and rules pertaining, but not limited to, the following public works projects: non-discrimination in employment and facilities; rates of payment for wages and fringe benefits to workers; forms of bids; bonds, contracts and certificates; restrictions of lien, taxes and retainage; and barrier-free facilities for the handicapped. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw or modify his bid after the time set for the bid opening until after 45 calendar days from bid opening date.
